About Us
Listen to the Butterfly, a learning strategy designed by teachers in Orlando, Florida, and Long Island, New York, is the culmination of more than five years of practice in the classroom that has proven to be entertaining, effective, and, most of all, educational. The strategy was designed to take advantage of the fact that students just cannot seem to give up their technology in the classroom.
We realize that songs are one of the keys to learning and that clearly articulated lyrics and music actually encourage students to put away their devices. Instead, they tune into their lessons, sharpening their reading and listening skills. When developing this strategy, we discovered that listening comprehension was one of the most productive times of any educational unit we taught because all students had to do was focus for about four minutes to answer ten questions correctly.
